bleeding between period

I have experienced some bleeding between periods today. My period is not due for another 2 weeks. I had sex two days ago and did not bleed after but experienced some pain and tenderness in my vulva. I had a normal smear test in march and a pelvic and trans-vaginal ultrasound in july and the results were normal. I also had an abdominal ultrasound to determine if a few lumps in abdomen  were lipoma which they were. I am currently taking metformin for a high insulin level. I am also taking vitafen for what my dr believes in an inflamed facet joint and im taking flucloxicillan for a painful lipoma. Ihave been taking yasminelle for seven years
