Incidentally found appendicolith without any symptoms of appendicitis

Dear Sirs,

Seventeen months ago I received a CT scan for a non related issue (kidney stone). On the scan a 7mm linear calcified appendicolith was found within the proximal appendix without evidence of inflammation. I have no prior history of appendicitis and have had no related symptoms. I recently saw a general surgeon to repair a epigastric hernia that was also seen on the scan and he advised me to remove my appendix just incase. I saw another surgeon who said they would not remove my appendix based on that information. I also saw a gastroenterologist who seemed to think I didn’t need it removed but referred me to a general surgeon. I am very confused about what to do. Can you please tell me what you think I should do based on this information?
